Women's Adventure Journey (Level II) 18 days
We have designed a special tour for women to explore, adventure and enjoy feminine company. This tour takes place in the region of the sacred mountain range of Anna Purna (see link below for description). We begin a cultural sight-seeing tour in Kathmandu for 2 days, then take a 2 day river rafting tour { The Kali - Gandaki River Rafting Tour} [link to activities page on paragraph for The Kali - Gandaki River Rafting Tour]. Next we take a bus to Pokhara (see description above). We will spend the day in this beautiful city and bring your bathing suit as there is a warm and lovely lake there to swim. We will hike up to a gorgeous golden temple of Budha and/or take bicycles to local outdoor markets of jewelry and other miscellaneous items for those interested.
Then we will trek start an 8 day trek to mountain villages in the Anna Purna Range {link to treks by region at the top of Anna Purna Region paragraph} where we will visit monasteries and temples, explore ancient cities and exchange ideas, inspire each other and discuss worldly things as women do so well.
Next we will go on a 2 day safari at the Chitawan National Park {link to Activities page under same title} and see the likes of rhinoceros, harbors and one of the largest population of the elusive and rare Bengal tiger. There are four species of deer, leopards, langurs, sloth bears, wild boars, rhesus monkeys, wild dogs, white stocking gaurs and many other smaller animals. Gharial and Marsh magar crocodiles cavort in the river water.
The unique birds which number over 450 species including cormorants, egrets, stork, geese, jungle fowl, king fishers and endangered species such as Bengal tiger florician, Lesser florocian, Brahmin, duck, pintails, Indian pitta and parakeets. This makes the park a wonderful bird watcher's paradise.
After the trek we will head back to Kathmandu {link to Siteseeing in Kathmandu} and do more ancient cities and monuments on a sight-seeing tour for 2 days.
