Patle Village Development Committee area in northern Okhaldunga District has about ten thousand people without a hospital or trained nurses or doctors to provide much needed health services. Therefore, Sherpa Travel is organizing trips to raise funds to build a quality primary care health clinic in Phapre Village to serve the people in this village and the surrounding villages.

Special Opportunities for Joy and Service: 2018/2019 Charity trips
We want to build a health clinic in Phapre Village to provide basic health care needs for villagers, educational materials and workshops to improve health and hygiene. An important effort will also contribute to replacing smoky, open fires used for cooking and heating in the village people’s homes with energy efficient and well vented stoves that improve health by decreasing the illnesses from the smoke.
To date, we have delivered stoves to 150 families through the help of Friends of Himalayan Sherpa People, a small nonprofit organization that we operate.
