This trek is designed for those who are on a spiritual journey and would like to experience this special and ancient land with a goal of exploring their consciousness and spirituality. We provide spiritual guides and involve teachings and meditations in serene locations of lakes, gardens, monasteries and peaceful mountainous areas. These areas would evoke the spirituality of even the most earnest and secular person; but for those who are searching for a deeper meaning in life or faith, one cannot help but expand themselves in this atmosphere.
We start in Kathmandu, Nepal and visit monestaries, temples and other sites that are amont the most sacred in the world including Boudanaht (the largest temple in Nepal), Swayumbunath (the self manifested 2000 year old temple, Pharfing (where the 2nd Buddha Padma Sambava performed many miracles. Then we fly to the Solu Khumbu (Mt. Everest region) where we will visit more caves where Padma Sambava meditated in ritual and obtained enlightenment. We will do a long life puja with Maratika Rinpoche of the Monastery in Maratika (Heleshi in Nepali) where one of these caves is located.
Next to Lumbini the birthplace of the lord Bhuda. Next we fly drive to the mountains and visit the sacred Mount Kailash and holy lake below. On the way, we will visit monasteries and temples and pray with Tibetan Bhuddist monks. We will have a spiritual guide to do teachings and meditations as we trek through the mountains, visit monasteries, and practice meditations in the vast openness and ancient land of Tibetan. Finally, we end up at the capital of the holy lands of Tibet, Lhasa where the 14th Dalai Lama's palace of his child hood sits called Potala.
Description of the places we will visit:
Pokhara is known as the paradise place on the lap of mountains. Most of our treks in the Annapurna region start from this beautiful lakeside town. Pokhara Valley is 820m above sea level and is 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu Valley. There is a combination of stunning peak views, emerald lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorgeous and village inhabited by Magar, Gurung and Thakalis. All of this natural beauty creates an ambiance of peace and majesty.
Lumbini is on the Southwestern plains of Nepal and 265 kilometers from Kathmandu. It is the birthplace of the Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace and compassion. This is a place of pilgrimage for Buddhists and peace seekers of all religions throughout the world. Some of the main attractions include Lumbini Gardens, holly shrines (including a great pillar from 250 B.C. with an inscription signifying the birth of Lord Buddha), stupas, monasteries, and the temple of Maya Devi (the mother of Lord Buddha). Next to this temple is a sacred pole where Lord Buddha received his first purification bath.
