Highlights of this Journey:
This trip explores Kathmandu Valley cultural world heritage sites of both Hindus and Buddhists. Then we will take a jeep Khijiphalate southwest of the Everest region in the foothills. During our journey, we will visit Buddhist monasteries in Jhapre, Thuptenchholing and Tengboche; we’ll see Sherpa culture and their way of life in the highlands. We will enjoy scenic vistas and majestic Himalayan mountain views as we trek through the foothills. This trek connects with the old Everest trail in Junbesi and hike on this famous ancient footpath up to Pangboche in the Everest region and return trek to Lukla from where we will take flight back to Kathmandu.
Once we enter the Khumbu Region from around Lukla, we will see spectacular mountain views and scenery. From Tengboche Monastery at 12,362ft (3863m), you will see spectacular view of the majestic peaks including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtega, Tawoche, Kwangde and many other mountains. You will also visit Sherpa villages and monasteries in Khumbu Valley, while enjoying breathtaking Himalayan scenery.
If you want to trek the off the beaten paths, the old and popular Everest trail, this trekking program will give you that opportunity to explore nature and culture. It is a fantastic trip to go on.

Quality boutique hotels Nepali Ghar Hotel or Hotel Thamel House close to the hustle and bustle of Thamel will be your comfort when traveling with Sherpa Travel.
If these hotels are full, similar lodging will be provided. We strongly suggest to book your trip far in advance to get the best desired lodging and airfares.
Comfortable and Economical Lodging while on trek:
We will provide mix of both comfortable and economical lodging while on this trek as we are traveling in remote areas where standard of accommodation varies from one place to another. The first few days the lodges are very basic, but as we trek farther toward main popular Everest Region part of the trekking route lodges are more comfortable. We will book and confirm the best available comfortable and economical lodging along the trekking route. During peak tourism season, some locations will be very full. We strongly suggest to book your trip far in advance to get the best desired lodging and airfares.
Contingency Plan: if we cannot secure lodge booking at all overnight stops, we will employ camping crew to carry camping equipment and food to use wherever we are short of lodge rooms. This is necessary during peak tourism season as there are limited lodge facilities. Day 5 Pike campsite is our main concern as there are limited lodging facilities.
Lodge to Lodge Trekking Program:
This journey involves overnights in lodges and trekking on the main trail from one lodge to another.
Breakfast and dinners are served at the lodges where you spend the night. Lunches are served at local inns and restaurants while on the way.
Trip leadership by local English-speaking licensed Nepali guide throughout the trip and support staff guides (1 porter per 2 clients) are employed to carry your luggage on the trek.
